Went to a stationery store today just to buy a marker and of course ended up bringing home about ten things. I LOVE these cards!

SO TIRED but I really needed to order some stuff on Gmarket since I didn’t want to do it at school tomorrow. Either my district or all of Seoul started tracking all the contract teachers’ internet activity last week and we’re not supposed to download movies and music or internet shop at work anymore. And if we download too many things online a red flag will come up on our IP address and someone somewhere will be asked to go through our activity and make sure we haven’t been up to anything bad. (This is my vague and technology ignorant explanation but sums up nearly what my computer geek friend told me.) This makes me sad because I usually do all my internet shopping at school! And also I spent a LOT of time researching serial killers and murders and government conspiracies at school and I don’t want anyone to think I’m crazy… I just have an interest in the ‘occult.’ :P Also, WAY TOO MUCH FREE TIME! I wish someone would give me something to do!
Anyway in addition to the one thing I actually needed I ended up with two new pairs of sunglasses (the same style but both different colors from the pair I left in the Muuido beach bathroom; they were half off! 5,000 won; I couldn’t resist) and a new awesome and cute Rilakkuma phone case (same as above.) I didn’t really need it, but… it was there! And it was cute! And kind of cheap! GMarket, why does this always happen? Stop doing this to me!

I think I will be going to the Rilakkuma Cafe this week! And they also have some Kapibarasan toys, too! ^_______^ You can sit at a table or in a little nook with giant stuffed bears!
The cafe includes a shop area where you can buy stuff. I don’t think I’ll be able to walk away empty handed.
I hope the coffee and cakes have Rilakkuma faces!
There are so many other themed cafes in Seoul I need to check out. The problem is, none of them are close to me.

Aw, how cute are these?! It’s the Rilakkuma Meets Honey theme.
The stickers were 11,000 and appear to be good quality. They are soft, but also have tiny plastic bubble-shaped grips, which kind of tickle my fingers. I hope the toxic plastic chemical smell goes away soon, though.
If the F keys look weird, it’s because the stickers were bigger than the keys so I had to trim them, and they didn’t trim evenly.

I find this entrancingly disturbing.

I do not like to see inanimate objects moving on their own because it reminds me of when I was little and I heard my dolls talking to me and threatening to kill me in the middle of the night. And the Goosebumps ‘Night of the Living Dummy’ books.

I’ve been looking for a new phone case forever and this one is perfect but I’ve only seen it for iPhones! All the Rilakkuma ones for my phone are ugly and boxy. Not fair, Korea.
I have to go to a happening part of town today, anyway, to meet my friend who just moved here, so maybe I’ll be able to find a nice new case there. By the way, I’m so excited to see him! We’ve been friends since high school and even hung out sometimes at college since we were both around Philly. He just moved to a small, middle-of-nowhere town about 2 hours outside Seoul, so he’ll be able to visit a lot. And when the weather’s warmer, we are going to go to his town and do some hiking! I want to visit him, and also my friend who just moved here with TALK somewhere in Jeolla. I really do not get out of Seoul enough.

Eep!

I am having the worst ‘magic time’ right now. I ran out of those adorable heart-shaped cramp pads and have awful back and stomach aches. Luckily, the new teacher who lives in my building had to leave our school dinner early and everyone told me I should just go home with her so we should share a taxi. I’m so glad it worked out, because I have no idea how I could have made it through a 3-hour-long (or more) dinner party. I am physically incapable of holding my body in an upright position. Now I am slothing out on my bed and wondering if 7:30 is actually too early to go to sleep for the night… I really can’t keep my eyes open.

Welcome to my very exciting life!

I want this Rilakkuma so much I even know where to buy one and how much it costs (100,000 won ㅠㅠ.) Must obtain significant other who indulges my childish whims immediately. This Rilakkuma would look darling with an enormous box of Valentine’s chocolates waiting for me on his chubby lap.

Saw this baby at the Kosney in Idae yesterday. 110,000 won. It is so BIG. I seriously had to wait in a line to take this picture because everyone wanted one.
