Go out on a date with a western guy; have great conversation the whole time; have many common interests and similar tastes; he offers to buy my dinner even though I politely decline; he brings up the idea of the ‘next place’ for some more drinks and conversation; we say goodbye hours later and he makes all these future plans and talks about what we will do the next time we meet; and then, nothing! They never send messages to me and they read and ignore the messages I send to them after the first meeting, every. single. time! (*except two.) 

This is what I was talking about in my last angry dating post! Don’t come up with all this crap about how much you want to take me to some other restaurant you love on our next date and how you want to go explore X place or Y area with me next time when you are obviously not interested in meeting me ever again. Do not make up specific itineraries for dates which you know you are not going to ask me out on. When I say goodbye and wave to you like a friend, don’t grab my arm and hug me or kiss my cheek when you know that we do not have a romantic future. JUST BE REAL. DON’T LIE. DON’T BE A JERK.

I’ve really had it. I have no idea what is wrong with me! Or maybe it’s just them… I have a suspicion that men are intimidated by my height and it is true that most foreign guys I have met here are the same height as me or even a little shorter. Still, though, there is no excuse for rude behavior and if you’re going to judge someone by something as insignificant as the difference of a few inches in your heights, then you suck!

I am going to go kickboxing now because I would rather work on improving myself than sit around thinking about people who I know aren’t wasting a second thinking about me. :P
