Cool Hongdae vinyl bar I mentioned awhile ago. There doesn’t appear to be a Korean name (the Korean sign only says ‘gopchang stew’) so I guess it is called ‘Korean Traditional Sound.’ A bit of a walk from the station and bus stops, but worth it!

Yeah, after posting this picture on Facebook and getting a lot of comments about it, I realized that I am the only person who lives in Seoul who has never been here, apparently! Oh well, in my defense, I don’t go to Hongdae often… it’s kind of far from me. But I love finding new places.

I’ve been there and I don’t see what all the fuss is about. It’s kind of dirty… I guess it’s supposed to be dirty on purpose, but the musty smell really was not appetizing! But the people who work there are really nice. There’s a place a few doors down call Chez Robert Artist Cafe that I like much better- there are only a few tables but it has cool decorations, and each month they set up a new art installation. That’s more of my thing, but to each his/her own! I can’t even begin to imagine all the cool and cute places I’m missing out on in Seoul…
