I have to say, I’m pretty surprised this is happening here, in a country so scientifically advanced and where education is deemed as the top priority. Leaving a scientific theory that is proven by science and is integral to the way in which view ourselves and our world out of a science textbook, just because some crazies say it goes against their religious beliefs, is ridiculous, in all countries and situations. If you want religion, read your religious book. If you want science, read a science book. There is no need for the two to intersect, and, in fact, many religious people are also able to rationally support science and evolution.
I really do not understand why so many people seemingly as of late are so keen on pushing their religious views into science education, or women’s reproductive rights, or who other people marry, etc., etc. Or why so many people and governments are allowing them to get away with it. People need to mind their own businesses and stop spreading ignorance. It’s as easy as that. Word.
