Is anyone else on Pinterest?
I finally started making my page today, months after everyone else has started using it. I haven’t even uploaded anything yet and I still have no idea how it works.
Some of my boards:
Korean Dreamboats (a place to post attractive pictures of attractive Korean men)
Korean Style (a place for cute clothes I see on Korean websites)
Things I Cannot Afford (self-explanatory)
If you want to...

Update on the extra Big Show ticket
One friend didn’t want it, and the other is still deciding. She wants to go, but not alone. She said she’s 80% sure she wants to go, though. I’m meeting her tonight at the jjimjilbang, and she’s going to pay me then, or not go. So I’ll post an update later. Sorry if I got anyone’s hopes up! When I posted earlier, she said she didn’t think she wanted to go....

Extra Big Show Ticket, what?! (maybe)
Don’t get too excited, but I might have an extra ticket for Big Show (!!!!!!!!) It’s section 3 sitting, Saturday night. It depends on whether two of my friends are interested or not, but I don’t think they will be. A lot of people messaged me about tickets and then I answered them all privately so I don’t have a record of any conversations and don’t know who asked me...
Anonymous asked: Wow! You have so much success with Korean guys! How do you do it?!
I haven't been to work in over a month.
I feel like I am the only NSET in Seoul who doesn’t have to do unnecessary desk-warming during vacation time. Which is awesome! My school just doesn’t care at all about my existence, which I think is so much better than them actively overseeing me. (Upside: leaving school in the middle of the day to go to coffee shops and the post office without anyone noticing. Downside: never knowing...

I’ve always hated shopping. It’s boring, I feel awkward trying out the clothes, if I don’t buy anything I feel guilty, and mostly because I’ve never really cared about my appearance enough to follow trends and such. I buy what I want to buy and do what I want to do - which is not shop.

Current Korean Dating Situation
Well, not actually dating, because I haven’t left my house for any social calls since coming back from China (too much laundry! and an enormous hormonal pimple on my cheek that is roughly the size of an eyeball) and all my social interactions are through Kakao Talk and occur while I am watching Parks and Recreation, but here’s what I have going on right now:
1 totally creepy Korean...

Last night was the first time in a long time I have felt completely shocked and somewhat disgusted with Korea by Korea. It hit me right across the face that Korea is a LONG way away from making me feel like I can stay here long term and call this place home, without occasionally being reminded…
A lot of foreigners feel this way sometimes, including me. It is possible to...

Back in Korea! China was a lot of fun. We met a lot of interesting, nice people, whether Chinese hostel workers or other travelers, including a British girl who quit the job she’d had for 5 years and just picked up a backpack and started going around the world. She’s been backpacking for eleven months. Crazy! I love traveling, too, but after 8 days in China I was ready to come home....
Anonymous asked: One theory is that dreams about your teeth reflect your anxieties about your appearance and how others perceive you. Your teeth help to convey an image of attractiveness and play an important role in the game of flirtation, whether it is flashing those pearly white, kissing or necking. Thus, such dreams may stem from a fear of rejection, sexual impotence or the consequences of getting old.
Anonymous asked: How do you know what people searched for to find your blog? :)
Anonymous asked: As far as my understanding goes, American visas are all double entry, so you can go there twice with the visa you bought. Check with a travel agent.

Leaving for China tomorrow!
5 days in Beijing, 2 days in Xi’an.
The problem with China is that there are just too many unique places to go, and not enough time or money to see all of them. I decided to skip Shanghai because my friend who had been there told me it was just a lot of shopping and not a lot of history or culture. We decided to do Beijing because it’s so big and has so many important sites, and...

I hope your Valentine's Day was as awesome as...
I bought a Super Junior t-shirt from Spao and had all-you-can-eat food and all-you-can-drink wine at Ashley buffet with the first friend I ever made in Korea. Now, it is 10 PM, and the food, wine, and jet lag are signalling me to call it a night.

It feels great to be back in Seoul!
I missed my apartment. The first thing I did after unpacking my suitcases and making laundry was buying a ton of Korean food and cooking up some spicy seafood soup for myself. It was so spicy I had to blow my nose every other spoonful. Success!
The flight went by much more quickly than I’d expected. It was 6.5 hours from Philly to LA, a 4-hour layover, and 13.5 hours from LA to Seoul. I...
Philly -> New York -> Philly again -> Seoul
I will arrive in Korea on February 13, although I will actually leave two days earlier in America. Time zones are confusing. Here’s what I’m looking forward to.
Seeing all of my best friends from college who all live in one of those cities. And another friend is flying in from Chicago. I’m so excited to see everyone again. I can’t wait to catch up on their lives. I have...

So glad I was able to make it to Target at 8AM...
All the Jason Wu dresses are going for insanely high prices on Ebay. Like, the dress I bought is going for between $70 and $90 on the majority of listings. I saw the dress I wanted (the navy one with the white and red stripe at the bottom) going for over $100. These dresses cost $39.99 and probably 10 cents to make. Ridiculous. (Also, just to clarify, that is not a Jason Wu for Target for hat....
