teachacrajy: burndogturns: partyintherok: I swear, I am a really polite person, but old Korean women turn me into a monster. This morning an old woman got on my always very crowded bus at rush hour and stood right in front of the exit door with both arms out holding onto poles, blocking the whole exit. Obviously she was not so frail that… I don’t lik this.  Sorry. She’s an old lady.  You...

Anonymous asked: I'm not sure if you've been asked this before, but what do you do when an ex contacts you? My ex contacted me the other day after months of not speaking (hes Korean) and it was late at night when I was out with friends at a a bar. I looked at it, laughed and deleted the message. He basically said he wanted to "thank me for a good memory" wtf? ahaha

Just another day in school...
I was walking down the hallway when I noticed a big crowd of noisy boys at the entrance to the sixth grade boys’ bathroom. One kid dragged me over to the crowd and pointed and yelled, “Teacher! Poo! 똥!” Sure enough, there was a huge turd on the floor. When I walked by again, the gang of giggling boys had broken up and the school cleaning man was wearing gloves and carrying away...

Back from Nagoya! It was great. We had only one full day in the city and we failed to do both of the things we wanted to do (see the castle and do an Asahi brewery tour) but there was enough good food and shopping to make the trip worthwhile. And an epic four-hour long $200 karaoke session last night… One day was not enough! I already miss Japan!

Oh my GOD…. the really loud woman in my office who can not be quiet for more than five minutes ever kept rolling around in her chair to talk (shriek) with other people in the office and she kept bumping her chair into mine and literally pushing my chair forward and pinning my chest against my desk… At first I moved my chair in a bit but she just kept pushing me more and more with all...

seahorseteacher replied to your post: Today wasn’t all bad… I saw a celebrity on… your link just went to the main page, not a specific item :( Thanks~ Ugh, stupid Korean shopping websites. They never let you link to individual items. This is what I want!  Also, I should add that the price is 1.3 million won. T_T

Today wasn’t all bad… I saw a celebrity on Garosugil! I have no idea who he was, though, but girls were screaming and chasing after him. We walked by him two times so I got a good look at him but still have no idea who he is. He was no GDragon, so I don’t care! :P He was really tall but he had a pretty boring face. I never would have guessed he was famous enough to make girls run...

Um, the sports day ISN’T EVEN AT MY SCHOOL. It’s at another school that is not within walking distance. We are expected to take a taxi there. W. T. F.  Also someone ate or threw out the grapes I was keeping in the refrigerator in the same little shelf where I always keep my stuff and have kept it for the past 8 and a half months. THANKS A BUNCH.

I didn’t get a single card, note, or rice cake for Teacher’s Day this year and instead of my Wednesday afternoon nap in the sleeping room I must kick around a shiny pom-pom in a soccer field in the name of teachers’ sports day.

My friend and I just had dinner and accidentally (for real!) ended up ordering a beer tower… I was kind of wobbling down the street at 7:30 in broad daylight, feeling like a wino… now I’m at home thinking it will be a good idea to turn off all the lights and get into bed with an ice cream bar with a scary movie on… I think it’s the beer tower talking… in two...

Anonymous asked: I know of six people in the US who paid other people to take a test for them. But the thing that sets apart Korean cheating is that it is often facilitated by educational institutions (SAT hagwons). And how did people get hold of the test? Has the Board looked inside its own ranks to find the problem? Anyway, with the increase in internet penetration, plagiarism is widespread in the US. My bro is...

I haven’t written about any Korean news lately (although I used to) because I assume people who read my blog live in Korea or are interested enough in Korea to know what’s going on here. However I can’t get over how big a deal the cancellation of the SAT because of cheating suspicions here is. This is the first time the SAT has been canceled in an entire country. It really says a...
